The National Center of Competence in Research (NCCR) Democracy is a multidisciplinary research programme that examines the key challenges to democracy today and traces them to two major trends: globalisation and the growing influence of the media on politics (mediatization).

Der Zweck des Vereins ist es, Zuwanderer stärker für Politik zu interessieren und ihnen klar zu machen, dass sie nicht nur „Wirtschaftssubjekte“, sondern auch Teil eines demokratischen Gemeinwesens sind. Damit diese Einsicht greift, brauchen Zuwanderer mehr Möglichkeiten für politische Teilhabe. Daher fordert Jede Stimme e.V. das aktive Wahlrecht für Ausländer auch für das Berliner Abgeordnetenhaus.

Das Spandauer Präventionsprojekt Stark ohne Gewalt setzt sich für eine gewaltfreie, von Respekt, Toleranz und Anerkennung geprägte Gesellschaft ein. Gemeinsam mit der Berliner Polizei und weiteren Kooperationspartnern wie der BVG, Kirchengemeinden, Moscheen, Vereine, Schulen und Jugendgruppen konzentriert sich Stark ohne Gewalt auf Jugendliche in den sozialen Brennpunkten des Bezirks. Das Projekt hat sich zu einem Netzwerk von Menschen und Institutionen entwickelt. Es widmet sich der Gewaltprävention in Spandau und ist mittlerweile weit über die Grenzen des Bezirks hinaus bekannt.

The idea behind Interactive Workshop of Europe is to open up spaces for intercultural networking, for knowledge exchange, for trainings and practical experiences and for innovative participation and facilitation processes. We are young Europeans who want to learn, to exchange,to facilitate, to create,to participate and to promote integrated and interactive working formats.

Citizensforeurope.eu is an open forum, dedicated to European civil society. It lists and highlights citizen organisations and movements, their events and their proposals. It is a dynamic platform that strives to be both critical and constructive. It aims to give a voice to members of European civil society, help them to connect and form alliances, to have raise their profile in the media and carry more weight when dealing with political decision-makers.

The Danube Foundation aims to contribute to the exchange of ideas between young Europeans in Central, East and Western Europe. The Danube Foundation strive to develop a platform for, and a network of, young creative so as to encourage the development of a cross border dialogue and a European public sphere. The Danube Foundation intends to achieve these goals by creating a sustainable exchange and common spirit among young Europeans.

A Soul for Europe is a civil society initiative that employs a novel, future-oriented model for cooperation between civil society and policy-makers. From bases in Amsterdam, Belgrade, Berlin, Brussels, Porto and Tbilisi A Soul for Europe is building an international network of European cities and regions, the cultural sector and business as well as European policy-makers.

Fremsyn was formally founded as in NGO 2010 after three years of activities in the commercial sector. These include research, development of educational resources and actively participation in the public debate
